Wolfgang Bientzle
Wolfgang Bientzle is an internationally acclaimed sport scientist, art director, choreographer, and professional German Wheel acrobat whose career spans elite competition, world-renowned performances, and leadership in coaching and creative direction. An eight-time World Champion, eight-time European Champion, and eleven-time German Champion, Wolfgang has pushed the boundaries of the German Wheel sport while captivating audiences around the globe.
His performance credits include high-profile events such as NBA halftime shows, NHL and NFL games, Royal Caribbean Cruises, and large-scale galas. Wolfgang has been featured in Cirque du Soleil’s Mystère and Quidam, and toured internationally with productions like Holiday on Ice. His television appearances range from The Late Show with David Letterman to Penn & Teller, as well as programs in the UK, France, Germany, and across Europe and South America.

Beyond the stage, Wolfgang is a respected coach and mentor. He has served as head coach for Germany’s TSV Taunusstein, leading teams to 29 world titles, 26 European titles, and over 200 national titles. He currently coaches the USA Gymnastics Wheel National Team and works with CircEsteem and Chicago Youth Circus, training current male and female world champions. His expertise has guided acrobats in elite productions, including Cirque du Soleil and Roncalli, collaborating with top performers worldwide.
A visionary in artistic direction and choreography, Wolfgang has designed and led performances for major brands like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Ford, combining athletic precision with creative storytelling. His extensive experience in international sports entertainment, live performance production, and specialized coaching make him one of the foremost figures in his field.
